EYELID LIFT - SINGAPORE
- Are your upper eyelids droopy or saggy?
- Do you wish to have a brighter, bigger eyes, but are too afraid of surgery?
- Is there excess skin/fats in your upper eyelids?
If yes, our Laser Eyelid Lift may be the right treatment for you!
As we age, this condition known as dermatochalasis sets in. Simply put, the eyebrows start to sag downwards, and excess skin bunches above our upper eyelids, giving it a droopy and saggy appearance.
With our laser upper eyelid lift, we make use of safe and effective fractionated laser to create skin tightening and lifting of the upper eyelids.
When laser energy is applied on the upper eyelids, skin is stimulated to create new collagen and elastin, critical proteins needed for lifting the skin. When these components of skin are more abundant in the skin, a lifting effect is produced, creating brighter, more beautiful eyes that are less saggy and droopy. In addition, skin is rejuvenated, resulting in less lines produced around the eyes. In addition to treating the upper eyelids, we will ALSO treat the lower eyelids, resulting in lesser fine lines and wrinkles and approximately 50% of patients even report lightened dark eye circles.
We use specialized contact lenses to protect the eyes from any laser damage, and in addition, we only use a special laser that is safe for use around the eyelids, and does not penetrate through the thin eyelid skin and therefore is safe for use around the eyes.
Results of the treatment – brighter and lifted eyelids – can be seen as early as 1-2 weeks after the treatment. This result improves with repeated treatments, spaced a month apart.
Downtime is present for only the first 3-5 days after the treatment. You may experience some redness and slight swelling, and skin is slightly rough after the treatment for 5 days. This will disappear around 5-7 days, and your skin will then start to produce new collagen and become tighter.
If your skin is very severely droopy, you may not see a good improvement of the skin with just Laser treatment. In these cases, we sometimes recommend a surgical lift instead. We will advise you during your consultation on how to improve your eyes in this situation and whether you are a good candidate for non-invasive lifting.
